Why do I have to wear the LipSense Gloss?
Yes. There is no moisture in the LipSense colour. the moisture comes from the Shea Butter and Vitamin E gloss.

Lip sense Lip colour is permeable and the gloss will pass through the colour and moisturize your lips. Our starter collection includes a glossy gloss, because it is the most moisturizing of all our glosses. Apply your gloss before eating because, as well as moisturizing your lips, it protects and seals your colour from the oils in your foods.

Moisturizing Glosses increase the staying power of LipSense Liquid Lip Colour. Our Gloss provides the best protection from the elements and helps repair dry, damaged and sensitive lips.

How long will LipSense last?

From 4 – 18 hours. It varies depending on body chemistry. With three layers of colour and then the Moisturizing Gloss applied, your colour will last several hours. How long your colour lasts can also be affected by medications and alcohol intake.

On some days I notice my lip colour does not stay as long, why?

LipSense comes off as your lips exfoliate, which is usually around every eight to ten hours. Because LipSense only adheres to the top layer of skin it comes off when your lips exfoliate. The Gloss has Shea Butter and vitamin e which will make your lips soft, moisturised and healthy. The more moisturised your lips are the longer it will take your lips to exfoliate. This means LipSense will last longer if you keep your lips moist. Most will find the colour lasts all day when they reapply the Gloss throughout the day. The colour can also lift when eating foods with oils, eg. salads dressings, fried chips – Gloss before eating these foods and this will protect the colour.

Can I combine LipSense Liquid Lip Colours?

This is a fun thing to do. You can use any colours and create your own new shades.

I can feel a tingling sensation, what is this?

The first time you try LipSense you may feel a tingle. This is because dry lips have tiny cracks. If you have lips that are not dry you won't notice any tingling at all. The tingle will stop once you have applied the gloss. After you have used the Gloss for a day or two you will rarely ever feel the tingle again. Dry lips can be caused by of wax and paraffin based lipsticks, which, can cause dry lips. Once you use the LipSense and the gorgeous Moisturising Gloss on a regularly you will find you do not get dry lips anymore.

Does LipSense give protection from the sun?

100% yes. The colour pigments in LipSense create a 100% physical shield for your lips. Like an umbrella for your lips. You will not get sunburned or windburned while wearing LipSense.

Why do I need the whole starter collection of Lipsense Lip colour, gloss and oops remover?

The starter collection consists of a LipSense Colour, a Moisturising Glossy Gloss and Ooops! Remover. LipSense Glosses were designed to work with the technology of LipSense whereas other glosses may break down your LipSense. The glosses are the moisture component of the system. Ooops remover is for mistakes, like going outside the lip line. It does not just wipe off like an old-fashioned wax lipstick. The three work together.

What do I do if I accidentally spill some of the color on my clothing?

Most of the LipSense Liquid Lip Colour spills can be removed from clothing with dry cleaning fluid. Take the item of clothing to the dry cleaners or ask to buy a small amount of their dry cleaning fluid. Test on a small area on the garment first. You can also try using Oops Remover.

What preservative is in LipSense?

There are no preservatives in LipSense. The delivery system SD40 naturally kills germs and bacteria.

Does LipSense contain Lead?

It does NOT contain lead and NEVER has.

What is the main ingredient in LipSense?

SD-Alcohol 40 (SDA40). It is thinner than water and can suspend tiny ingredients in the product allowing for application and quick drying.

SD40 evaporates quickly leaving behind the long-lasting colour membrane.

SD40 also maintains a germ-free and bacteria free environment. When your wand touches your lips, it is exposed to bacteria and germs. The bacteria and germs on the wand are eliminated when you place the wand back into the tube. Each tube, therefore, germ and bacteria free. LipSense does not become rancid or smelly like other lip products. LipSense has a long shelf life of 3 years opened and seven years unopened.

Is LipSense tested on animals?

SeneGence™ does NOT test on animal for ANY of its products.

Is there any LipSense or Gloss that does not contain wheat or gluten?

Yes!!! All colours and glosses are gluten free.

Is LipSense Vegan?

Lipsense our Shea butter glosses are Vegan (no animal emulsifiers or animal by-products)

Is LipSense approved by the FDA?

Yes Approval starts at the raw material level. All raw materials used in making LipSense products are approved by the FDA. It is also manufactured in an FDA approved facility.

Can I buy more than one LipSense Lip Colour without having to purchase the complete set again?

Yes. Your first purchase of Lipsense will include the entire set known as a starter collection. One gloss will work with a multitude of colours.
